Cookie policy

By default this site sets no cookies at all. Nothing is stored on your device unless you actively agree to it, and declining costs you no functionality.

If you decline, or ignore the banner

Google Analytics is never loaded. No analytics cookie is created. One small entry is written to your browser's local storage recording that you declined, purely so the banner does not ask again on every page. That entry never leaves your browser, is not a cookie, and is not sent anywhere. Clearing your site data removes it.

If you accept

Embedded video

Episode videos are shown as a still image with a play button. No request reaches YouTube and no YouTube cookie exists until you click play. Once you do, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set advertising cookies, and YouTube's own policies then apply to that playback.

The sign-up form

The form on the free guide page, the home page and the episode page is provided by Kit. Those three pages load a script from Kit to render and submit it; no other page on this site does. Kit may set its own cookies to remember that you have already subscribed and to keep its anti-spam checks working. They come from Kit, under Kit’s policy, and exist to make the sign-up work — they are not used for advertising and do not follow you to other sites. They are not controlled by the analytics banner, because they are not measuring you.

Buying a book

The buy button sends you to Payhip, which sets its own cookies to run the checkout. That happens on Payhip's site, under Payhip's policy. This site never handles payment details.

Changing your mind

Clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit. To delete analytics cookies already set, clear cookies for this domain.
